Beatrice M. Reid of the 800 block of Norview Ave. died June 22, 1997, in a local nursing home.
A retired nurses' assistant at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, she was a Thomasville, N.C., native and a member of Second Calvary Baptist Church and a member of the Female Usher Board and The Gourmet Committee.
Survivors inlude her husband, George Reid; brother, Wilson Moore of Thomasville; three adopted nieces, Yvonne M. Davis of Suffolk, Edna M. Moore and Gayle P. Moore, both of Norfolk.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in Second Calvary Baptist Church by the Rev. Geoffrey Guns. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. The body will be taken to the church at 12:30 p.m. Friends may join the family at the residence. There will be a wake service Thursday from 6 to 7 p.m. at Graves Funeral Home.
