Bernice D. Hodgin, 78, of the 500 block of Longdale Crescent, died June 23, 1997, in her residence.
A native of Kelford, N.C., she was the widow of Kenneth S. Hodgin.
Survivors include a daughter, Lucas ``Luckie'' Curless of Raleigh, N.C.; two sons, Kenneth S. Hodgin of Lizille, Ga., and Samuel E. Hodgin of Chesapeake; sister, Edna Lewter of Murfreesboro, N.C.; six grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
A graveside funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in Forest Lawn Cemetery by the Rev. Paul D. Moore. The family will receive friends at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Indian River Chapel, Thursday, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to In Home Health Hospice, 5040 Corporate Woods Drive, Suite 150, Virginia Beach, Va. 23462.
