U.S. Navy retired GMGC Charles Robert Jenkins died June 24, 1997, in his residence.
Mr. Jenkins was in the Korean and Vietnam wars. He was also an avid hunter and fisherman.
He is survived by his son, Charles Robert Jenkins Jr. of Virginia Beach; his daughter, Sherrie Bristow and her husband, Randy, of Virginia Beach; two stepdaughters, Dollie Hicock of Virginia Beach, Linda Kelly of Maine,; five brothers, Jack Jenkins of Brandywine, Md., Billy and James Jenkins of Bryson City, N.C., Wayne Jenkins of Greensboro, N.C., Paul Jenkins of Salt Lake City, Utah; a sister, Mildred Buchannan, also of Salt Lake City; and four grandchildren.
The family will will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday in Kellum Funeral Home, Rosewood Chapel. A chapel service will follow at 1 p.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Rosewood Memorial Park. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
