Hazel Olds of the 700 block of Great Bridge Blvd. died June 23, 1997, in Chesapeake General Hospital.
Born in Norfolk County, she was the widow of Joseph Olds. She was a member of St. Luke's AME Church, Chesapeake, its senior usher board, the Beautification Club and was also a senior trustee. Mrs. Olds was a member of Silver Strand Senior Citizens Club and was a janitor for the Chesapeake City Schools.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Gracie Olds Cleary of Chesapeake; grandson, Johnny Satterfield of Chesapeake; a granddaughter-in-law, Nedra Satterfield of Chesapeake; a great-grandchild, Joseph Satterfield of Chesapeake; and son-in-law, Booker T. Cleary of Chesapeake.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday by the Rev. Ira K. McMillian Jr. in St. Luke AME Church, Chesapeake. Burial will be in the church cemetery. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
