MICHELLE D. PICKENS

Michelle Dawn Pickens, 14, died Tuesday, June 24, 1997, at a local hospital.

An honor student at Princess Anne Middle School, Michelle was a cheerleader and a member of the German Club. Among her achievements, she placed ninth in the state competition for gymnastics.

She is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. R.W. Pickens; paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond G. Pickens; maternal grandparents, Robert and Carol Lennon, Uncle David and Aunt Cindy, Uncle Kenneth and Aunt Kathy, Uncle Hugh and Aunt Debbie, Aunt Jody and Aunt Debbie. She is also survived by many relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Kellum Funeral Home, Bonney Road Chapel, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday with Chaplain Richard Yates officiating. Interment will be in Colonial Grove Cemetery. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
