Ruth P. Barr, 93, of 5620 Wesleyan Drive, died June 24, 1997.
Mrs. Barr was a native of Columbus, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her husband, Chester Douglas Barr.
Survivors include a daughter, Barbara Ann DiGirolomo of Supply, N.C.; a son, Robert A. Barr of Virginia Beach; a brother, Franklin Penrose of Newark, Ohio; four grandchildren. Karen Ann Webb of Portsmouth, N.H., Christopher William Barr of Virginia Beach, Stephen Douglas Butz of Salem, N.Y., Cynthia K. Barr of San Francisco; and her first great-grandchild, Jacob Baldwin Webb who was born on Mother's Day, May 11, 1997.
A funeral will be conducted 10 a.m. Saturday at H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, Laskin Road Chapel, by the Rev. Vernon Murray.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday evening from 7 until 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the American Red Cross. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
