Evelyn D. Nevins, 72, of the 300 block of Kay Road died June 25, 1997, in a local hospital.
A retired nurse from Portsmouth General Hospital, she was a head nurse in labor and delivery for many years. She was a native of Interlachen, Fla.
Survivors include three daughters, Teresa Barker, Pamela J. Garrett and Jeanette Nevins, all of Portsmouth; son, Patrick L. Nevins of Portsmouth; brother, Beverly D. Daniels of Newport News; two grandchildren, granddaughter, Kellie Anne Nevins, and grandson, Alex Daniel Garrett.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday in Snellings Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, by the Rev. Jerry Helms. Burial will be in Olive Branch Cemetery. The family will receive friends in the funeral home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Sunday and at other times at 103 Shore Drive, Portsmouth. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
