JEANNE P. BALLENTINE

Jeanne Elizabeth Pablo Ballentine, 67, died June 27, 1997, in Portsmouth.

Mrs. Ballentine, the widow of James Oliver Ballentine, was born Aug. 24, 1929, in Staten Island, N.Y. She was the daughter of the late James Fairfield Pablo and Sara Wonycott Pablo. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Portsmouth.

She is survived by three daughters, Deborah B. Meads and her husband, Charles of Virginia Beach, Cynthia D. Ballentine of Chesapeake and Patricia B. Bowman and her husband Lee of Warrenton, Va.; two grandchildren, James Lee Bowman and Christine Elizabeth Bowman of Warrenton; a sister, Virginia P. Doyle of Petersburg, Va.; two brothers, Robert F. Pablo of Jacksonville, Fla.; and John T. Pablo of Denver, Colo.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday in Green Acres Presbyterian Church, Portsmouth, by the Revs. Henry D. Scoggins and John N. Ashenfelder. Burial will follow in Olive Branch Cemetery. Friends may join the family Sunday from 3:30 to 5 p.m. at Foster Funeral Home, Portsmouth. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
