Curtis Lee ``Buck Dude'' Hill, 65, of the 600 block of Normandy St. died June 26, 1997, in his home.
A native of Southampton County, he was the widower of Julia Hill and a retired truck driver from Harrison Movers and Master Storage, Portsmouth, with 30 years of service.
He was a U.S. Army veteran.
Survivors include his daughter, Thelma Britt of Tennessee; mother, Elizabeth B. Hill of Portsmouth; sister, Ethel Mae Flythe of Portsmouth; four stepgrandchildren; and a very special friend, Kay E. DeBerry of Portsmouth; an aunt, a niece, three nephews; cousins, in-laws and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday in Corprew Funeral Home, Portsmouth, by the Rev. Charles W. Beamon. Burial will be in Lincoln Memorial Cemetery, Portsmouth, with military honors. Viewing at the funeral home will begin at noon today. The family will be at the home of his sister, Ethel Flythe, 1705 Atlanta Ave., Portsmouth, and will assemble there for the funeral service.
