Mary Athlene Zimmerman, 80, a former resident of South Norfolk, Chesapeake, most recently of the 400 block of Highland Ave., Atmore, died June 25, 1997.
A retired cashier, she was a native of Lenoir, N.C., and the widow of Fred C. Zimmerman. She was a member of the Christian Church, North Carolina, and a charter member of V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary, Norfolk.
Survivors include a son, Fred Cecil Zimmerman of Atmore.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Riverside Memorial Park, Norfolk, by the Rev. John Ray Lewis. The family will be at Francis A. Gay Funeral Home, South Norfolk Chapel, Chesapeake, Monday from 7 to 8 p.m. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
