Edward D. Davis, 81, of the 4300 block of Whaleyville Blvd., died June 29, 1997, in a Suffolk hospital.
Born in Glen Lyn, Va., he was a retired field supervisor of Raleigh Stocker and a member of United Congregational Christian Church, Portsmouth.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Davis; two sons, Steven D. Davis of Portsmouth, Dr. G. Wayne Davis of Roanoke; two sisters, Blanche Steele of Norfolk, Thelma Wills of Glen Lyn; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday in United Congregational Christian Church by the Rev. James R. Luck Jr. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Snellings Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, from 7 to 8 p.m. today. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
