NATALIE J. HIRSCH

Natalie J. Hirsch, 72, of the 7400 block of Chipping Road, died June 29, 1997, at her home.

Mrs. Hirsch was a native of Newark, N.J. She was the widow of Stanley Marvin Hirsch and was preceded in death by her son, Gary Joel Hirsch. She retired from the Norfolk Public School System after more than 30 years of service and was a member of the Alpha Delta Kappa Honorary Sorority for Education.

She was a longtime member of Ohef Sholom Temple in Norfolk and was a member of Haddasah and ORT. She also volunteered at the Beth Sholom Home in Virginia Beach.

Survivors include her son, Steven M. Hirsch of Norfolk; her brother, Dr. Gene L. Gottfried of San Francisco, Calif.; and many cousins and other family members in both New Jersey and Florida.

A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Sunday, July 6, 1997, at H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Norfolk Chapel, by Rabbi Morrison Biel and Cantor Jennifer Bern-Vogel. Burial will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 2, 1997, at Mount Lebanon Cemetery in Iselin, N.J. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the Gary J.
