Virginia S. ``Piggy Watts'' Joyner, 81, of the 3000 block of Glasgow St. died June 28, 1997, in Beverly Manor.
A Portsmouth native, she was a former member of Third Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Elmo Joyner; daughter, Loistine S. Payne of Portsmouth; son-in-law, Willie Payne of Portsmouth; three grandchildren, Deborah Stanley of Chesterfield, Va., Darrell Payne and Brian Payne, both of Portsmouth; three great-grandchildren; and a host of cousins and relatives.
A funeral will be conducted at noon Thursday in Serenity Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Thomas Steele. Burial will be in Lincoln Memorial Cemetery. Viewing will begin today from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Family and friends will assemble at 1506 Elmhurst Ave. at 11:15 a.m. for the procession to the chapel. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
