EDWARD DAVIS

Edward Davis of the 1000 block of W. 42nd St. died June 29, 1997.

He was a retired brick mason for Diggs Masonry and was a native of Charlotte, N.C.

Survivors include his wife, Bobbie J. Davis of Norfolk; two daughters, Lora L. Jackson of Suffolk, Shanika M. Pettus of Chesapeake; four sons, Christopher E. Davis, Kevin L. Davis, Marcus J. Davis, Eric E. Fugate, all of Norfolk; mother, Viola Davis of Charlotte, N.C.; four sisters, Emma Hudson, Carolyn Leake, Janice Davis, all of Charlotte, Mary Broome of Tucson, Ariz.; six brothers, Donald Davis, Bernard Davis, Pressley Davis, William Davis, James Davis, Jefferson Davis; four grandchildren; and a special friend, Debbie Pettus; and a host of other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his son, Edward A. Davis; his father, Charlie Davis, and brother, Raymond Davis.

A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday in Community Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, by the Rev. Robert G. Murray. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
