HARRY P. PERKERSON

Harry P. Perkerson, 76, of the 200 block of Copeland Road, died July 1, 1997, in Autumn Care Nursing Center, Norfolk.

A retiree from Higginson and Buchannon Construction Co., he was a native of Southampton County, a member of White Oak Spring Baptist Church, Franklin, and a World War II veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mable W. Perkerson; seven daughters, Joyce P. Knight, LaFrance P. Duck, Cynthia Perkerson, Patricia P. Copeland, all of Suffolk, Mable P. Butler of Chesapeake, Robin Perkerson of Hillside, N.J., and Meredith Babb of Baltimore; two sons, Harry P. Perkerson Jr. of Virginia Beach and Kevin L. Perkerson of Hampton; 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his parents, Channie H. Perkerson and Harry P. Perkerson.

A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in White Oak Spring Baptist Church, Franklin. Burial will be in Southview Cemetery, Franklin. Elvin Vaughan Funeral Home is in charge. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
