Richard ``Elvin'' Saunders, formerly of 829 Whitaker Lane, departed this life June 27, 1997.
He leaves to cherish his memories a wife, Mary A. Saunders; three daughters, Marion Murden of Washington, D.C., Faye Kudos and Mary Alice Furlow, both of Maryland; two sisters, Queen Smith and Katie Rolle; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; three sons-in-law; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A funeral will be conducted Saturday at 1 p.m. by the Rev. Walter Jones at Corinth Baptist Church, Highway 158, Jarvisburg, N.C. Burial will be in the church cemetery. A wake will be held today from 6 to 7 p.m. in Hale Funeral Home Chapel. The remains will be placed in church at noon Saturday. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
