Chad Alan Oakley, 19, died July 3, 1997, in his residence.
Born in New Braunfels, Texas, he was a senior at Oscar Smith High School. He was a Methodist.
Survivors include his parents, Sandra W. Oakley and James S. Oakley of Chesapeake; a brother, Carl Loftin of Richmond; maternal grandparents, Norman and Joyce Farrell of North Carolina; and paternal grandparents, Bob and Jo Oakley of Kingsbury, Texas.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel, by the Rev. Ernest L. Trueblood. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Comprehensive Epilepsy Program at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, 600 Gresham Drive, Norfolk, Va. 23507. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
