GROVER P. SPIVEY

Grover P. Spivey, 76, of the 400 block of Highland Ave. died July 4, 1997, in Nansemond Pointe Healthcare Centre.

Born in Perquimans County, N.C., he was a self-employed certified public accountant. He was a member of American Legion Post (NU)57 and a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served during World War II. He was the son of the late Ruth Jordan and George W. Spivey.

Survivors include four stepchildren; a sister, Ruth W. Spivey, and a brother, Malvern P. Spivey, both of Suffolk.

A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday in Hill Funeral Home, Suffolk, by the Rev. Charles Thompson. Burial will be in Holly Lawn Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 3 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home and will be at the home of his brother, 1628 Kings Fork Road, Suffolk, at other times.
