HENRY GREEN SR.

Henry Green Sr., 68, of the 2200 block of Courtney Ave., died July 2, 1997, in a local hospital.

Mr. Green was born in Lumberton, N.C., and was retired. He was a member of Union United Church of Christ in Norfolk, the Male Chorus and Male Usher Board.

Survivors include his wife, Gladys Green; three daughters, Deborah Ann Green, Denise C. Babb and Delores L. Green, and a son, Austin B. Green, all of Norfolk; a sister, Maryland Nelson of Kansas City, Kan.; a brother, Albert C. Lamb of Norfolk; 10 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a host of special friends and relatives. He was predeceased by a son, Henry Green Jr.

A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Union United Church of Christ, 877 Goff St., by the Rev. A. Taylor and the Rev. E. Copeland. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Family and friends will assemble at 2213 Courtney Ave. at noon Wednesday for the procession to the church. Metropolitan Funeral Service is in charge. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
