Mary Mansfield ``Poss'' Hughes, 84, of South Mills Road, died July 5, 1997.
She was the daughter of the late William E. Mansfield and Janie Dozier Mansfield. Mrs. Hughes was a homemaker and a member of Northwest Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Zack Hughes.
Survivors include a son, Leonard R. ``Johnny'' Hughes of Tulls Bay Colony, Moyock; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted at at 11 a.m. today in Blackwater Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Fred Bates officiating. Twiford Colonial Chapel, Great Bridge, Chesapeake, is in charge. Visitation will be at the home of Diane Hughes in Moyock. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
