CLARA F. AUSTIN

Mrs. Clara Frances Austin, 91, died July 6, 1997.

A native of Vinton, Va., she was the widow of Claude J. Austin and a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She was a life member of the ladies auxiliary of Davis Corner Fire Department.

Survivors include a granddaughter and her husband, Gaynell and Maurice Pease of Chesapeake; two great-grandchildren, William Pease of Harrisonburg, Va., Maynard Pease of Chesapeake; two great-great-grandchildren, Casey and Neal Pease; a daughter-in-law, Virginia B. Spencer of Norfolk. She was predeceased by a son, William R. Spencer.

A graveside funeral will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. today in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens by the Rev. Ernest Roebuck. Memorial donations may be made to the ladies auxiliary to the Davis Corner Fire Department, Haygood Road, Virginia Beach, Va. 23455. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel, is in charge.
