Jack H. McNeely, 74, of the 4600 block of County St., died July 7, 1997, in a local hospital.
He was born in Logan County, W.Va., and was a member of the Masonic Lodge. He was a retired dental laboratory technician. He also retired from the U.S. Army with 20 years of service and had served in the Navy for six years.
Survivors include his wife, Lucille McNeely; a daughter, Kathryn M. Brinkley of Chesapeake; three sons, Jack H. McNeely Jr. of Portsmouth, David R. McNeely of Virginia Beach, Timothy S. McNeely of Portsmouth; and a stepson, William W. Smith of Portsmouth; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A funeral was held at 7 p.m. July 8 in Snellings Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, by the Rev. Harry Spear. Burial is private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
