Murray Stanton Niccum died July 3, 1997. Murray suffered from brain cancer beginning in 1993, which he courageously and successfully fought until his death from a tragic fall.
He is survived by his father, Robert Niccum Sr., and mother, Frances Havens; brother, Robert Niccum Jr.; wife, Teri Niccum; son, Daniel Niccum; daughter, Rachael Niccum; and nephews, Robert III and Michael Niccum. His brother, Daniel, died in 1983.
Murray graduated from James Madison University in 1977 with a bachelor's degree in accounting and pre-law. His most notable career achievement was to assist in launching and running Management Systems Applications Inc., with his mother, Frances.
Friends, relatives, co-workers and associates remember him as giving, loving and very close to his Heavenly Father. His life was a living testimony to the love of Christ and the Grace of God. Among Murray's last words were that God had healed him of the cancer and that cancer would never take him. He was right.
A memorial service will be held at 7:30 p.m. today at the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints, 5610 Inver Chapel Road, Springfield, Va. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to American Cancer Society.
We miss him, and our love follows him to his Heavenly Father's side. Within a few brief years we will all join him in joy. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
