KATHERINE H. PATTERSON

Katherine "Kitty" Hobbs Patterson, 76, of the 400 block of Westover Mews died July 12, 1997, in her residence.

Mrs. Patterson was a native of Norfolk and was the widow of Lankford B. "Pat" Patterson. She retired as personnel manager of Sears and went on to become a cruise director for Virginia Cruise. Mrs. Patterson was the owner of Kitty's Boutique in Norfolk until 1974.

Mrs. Patterson was past president and secretary of the Ghent Garden Club; a volunteer for the Fred Hewitt Center; former monitor of the Ladies Forum and a member of the Norfolk Yacht and Country Club.

Survivors include two daughters, Patricia S. Hayes and her husband, Floyd, of Norfolk, Sandra S. Walker and her husband, Harvey DeWayne, of Eutawville, S.C.; a granddaughter, Cynthia Hayes-Degner of Norfolk; three grandsons, Brian B. Hayes, Dr. C. Michael Hayes and Jason T. Hayes, all of Orlando, Fla.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 15, at Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday night from 7 to 8 p.m. in the Norfolk Chapel of H.D.
