MARY D. KELLAM

Mary D. Kellam of Dover, Del., better known as ``Deanie,'' died July 12, 1997, in Northampton Accomack Memorial Hospital after a short illness with cancer. She was 55.

Mrs. Kellam was born Feb. 3, 1942, in Machipongo, Va., the daughter of the late Peter Nottingham Carpenter and Mary Daisey Carpenter.

Mrs. Kellam was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She loved and enjoyed the company of her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by a son, George E. ``Eddie'' Kellam Jr.; brother, Henry A. ``Jack'' Carpenter; sister, Lula Lee Carpenter.

She is survived by her husband of almost 38 years, George E. Kellam; two daughters, Kimberly A. Bunting and Jacqueline Y. Akers; and a son, Robert D. Kellam, all of Dover; four grandchildren, Michael E. Morris, Stephanie D. Morris, Robert Dean Kellam II and Julia Y. Akers, all of Dover; three sisters, Louise M. Hudgins, Barbara Ann Harrison and Betty Y. Carpenter, all of Nassawadox, Va.; a brother, Robert L. Carpenter of Winter Haven, Fla.

Family and friends may call today from 6 to 8 p.m. at B.D. Holland Funeral Home, Nassawadox. Services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. in Johnson's United Methodist Church, Johnsontown. The Rev. J. Brooke Wilson will officiate. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
