WOODROW W. PHELPS

Woodrow ``Woody'' Wilson Phelps, 84, of Edenton Prime Time, died Saturday, July 12, 1997, in Chowan Hospital.

A native of Washington County, Mr. Phelps was the son of the late Henry W. and Lula Phelps and the husband of the late Velma Overton Phelps. He was retired from the Weyerhauser Company and had owned and operated Woody's Service Station and Produce Stand.

He is survived by his son, the Rev. Thomas Biggs of Edenton; four grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

A funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. today in Evans Funeral Home by the Rev. Bob Moulden. Burial will follow in Beaver Hill Cemetery. The family will meet at the home of the Rev. Thomas Biggs, 4 Albania St. in Edenton. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
