RICHARD THOMPSON

Richard Thompson, 45, of the 3700 block of Summer Place, died July 12, 1997.

A pipefitter at Newport News Shipbuilding and Drydock for 10 years, he was a native of New Orleans. He was a member of New Hope Church of God in Christ, 3232 Brest Ave., Norfolk, and of United Steelworkers Local 8888. He was a Navy veteran with 15 years of service.

Survivors include his wife, Natalie W. Thompson; two daughters, Tiffany A. Thompson and Carrie Y. Thompson; son, MyKlle A. Thompson; mother, Helen Thompson; two sisters; four brothers; four nieces and two nephews.

A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in New Hope Church of God in Christ, Norfolk, by Dr. Hermon Clark Sr. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Norfolk. Fisher Funeral Home is in charge. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
