JESSE J. GEER

Jesse James Geer, 63, of the 3200 block of Reese Drive, died July 15, 1997, in a local hospital.

A native of Kansas City, Mo., he is survived by his mother, Viola Crowley Charlesworth of Jacksonville, Ill., and his wife, Norma F. Geer. He was the owner of Geer Appraisals and was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War.

Other survivors include his four sons, Rick Geer of Chesapeake, Steven C. Geer and his wife, Rita, of Virginia Beach and Donald R. Geer and his wife, Gail, and Richard E. Geer and his wife, Wendy, all of Portsmouth; brother, Ronald Geer of Jacksonville; four grandchildren, Steven Jr., MaryBeth, Amberleigh and Trevor Geer.

A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, by the Rev. Tom Potter. Burial will be in Olive Branch Cemetery. The family will receive friends in the funeral home today from 7 to 9 p.m. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
