Cora W. Etheridge of the 2800 block of Woodland Ave., died July 15, 1997, in her residence.
Born in Halifax County, N.C., she was the widow of John W. Etheridge and a member of Queen Street Baptist Church. She was a retired homemaker and the daughter of the late Betsy Sanders Washington and Cannie Washington.
Survivors include a stepdaughter, Clara Rodgers of Brooklyn, N.Y.; two nephews, Alex and Claude Gray; five nieces, Jean Gray, Mary Andrews, Coretta Best, Stella Gray and Armentha Hodge.
A funeral was at 11 a.m. Friday, July 18, in Graves Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Peter Wherry. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Family and friends assembled at the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. for services. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
