MARIAN P. COUNCIL

Marian E. Parker Council, 68, of the 1600 block of Morgan's Corner Road died July 17, 1997, in Chesapeake General Hospital.

A homemaker, she was a native of Nansemond County, Va., and a member of Cypress Chapel Christian Church and was the daughter of the late Willie Parker and Gertie Brinkley Parker.

Survivors include her husband, Milton N. Council Sr.; three daughters, Louise Hudgins of Chesapeake, Peggy C. Wilson of Portsmouth and Shirley A. Snow of Chesapeake; two sons, Milton N. Council Jr. of South Mills, N.C., and Larry Stewart Council of Elizabeth City; three sisters, Margaret R. Herring, Martha P. Britt and Sarah P. Burford, all of Suffolk; brother, Harvey L. Parker of Suffolk; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday in Hill Funeral Home by the Rev. Horace Cooper. Burial will be in Cypress Chapel Christian Church Cemetery. Friends may join the family in Hill Funeral Home, Suffolk, Sunday from 4 to 5 p.m. and other times in the home of Susan Potts, 791 Lummis Road, Suffolk. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
