Marie S. Funk, 85, of the 1100 block of Colley Ave., died July 19, in Norfolk General Hospital.
Mrs. Funk was a native of Tama, Iowa. She was the widow of William Ellis Funk. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Norfolk.
She was the daughter of the late John H. Kearney and Katie Hammil Kearney. She also was preceded in death by three brothers, Clarence, Ralph and Hubert Kearney; two sisters, Pauline Kearney and Peggy Kearney Grange.
Survivors include a daughter, Mary Margaret Heller and a son, Mark William Funk, both of Norfolk; a sister, Gertrude Kearney Burrows; four grandchildren, Deirdre Marie Heller, Greg, Will and Marie Funk; and nine nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian burial service will be celebrated at 7 p.m. Monday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Norfolk, by Father John J. Dorgan. Burial will be at St. Patricks Catholic Cemetery in Tama, Iowa.
