Jahn Thomas Ramsey, of Hallieford, died Monday, July 21, 1997, at her home.
She was a native of Norfolk and the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Edward M. Thomas of Mathews County. She received her bachelor's degree from Old Dominion University and a master's degree from the University of Virginia. She taught in the Mathews County Public School System. She was a member of St. Therese Roman Catholic Church in Gloucester and was the past president of the Bayside Youth Ballet.
Survivors include her husband, Robert Gerald Ramsey Sr.; a daughter, Elizabeth Jahn Ramsey, and son, Robert Gerald Ramsey Jr., both of Hallieford.
A prayer service will be conducted at 7 p.m. today, followed by visitation until 8:30 p.m in Foster-Faulkner Funeral Home, Mathews. A Catholic Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Therese Catholic Church, Gloucester. Burial will follow in Windsor Gardens Cemetery, Dutton.
