Nellie Peyton, of the 5300 block of Kingswell Drive, died July 15, 1997.
Born in Hertford, N.C., she was the widow of George Peyton and a member of Sampson Row Baptist Church, Hertford.
Survivors include a son, Norman Peyton of Norfolk; a sister, Blanche Holden and an adopted sister, Lillie Ann Webb, both of Brooklyn, N.Y.; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Muriel Peyton; and a host of other relatives and friends.
