Martha Adeline Tew, 96, of the 4200 block of Ransom Court, died Monday, July 21, 1997.
She was a teacher for the Portsmouth school system in Port Norfolk. She was a member of Broad Street United Methodist Church, charter member of Alpha Delta Pi Kappa Honor Society for Women Educators of Pi Chapter and a past member of the Richard Dale Womans Club.
She is survived by a brother, Roland E. Tew of Jacksonville, Fla.; brother-in-law, Gilbert Leis of Chesapeake; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. today in Loving Funeral Home, Churchland, by the Rev. Kathryn Pigg, with burial to follow in Olive Branch Cemetery. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Broad Street United Methodist Church. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
