CHARLES G. REID SR.

Charles Gust Reid Sr., 74, of the 100 block of Howard St., died July 20, 1997, in Portsmouth General Hospital. He was a native of Portsmouth.

Survivors include his wife, Lottie Mae Reid; two daughters, Mary A. Cook, Elizabeth Trotter, both of Portsmouth; three sons, Charles G. Reid Jr., Joseph C. Reid, Paul V. Reid, all of Portsmouth; a brother, Eddie Reid of Portsmouth; a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; three nieces, Mildred Ellis and Mary Owens, both of Portsmouth, Alice Bland of Pennsylvania; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A funeral will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in Corprew Funeral Home, Portsmouth, by the Rev. Gregory Thomas. Burial will be in Lincoln Memorial Cemetery, Portsmouth. Viewing at the funeral home will begin at 10 a.m. today. The family will be at 125 Howard St., Apt. A., and also at 313 Pullman Ave., Portsmouth, where they will assemble for the funeral.
