LADY MONARCHS' FISHER ACCEPTS COLO. STATE JOB

Old Dominion University head basketball coach Wendy Larry announced Tuesday that assistant coach Cindy Fisher has accepted a similar position at Colorado State University. Fisher served as the Lady Monarchs' assistant coach the last two years.

``We must accept the fact that Cindy has chosen to return home,'' said Larry in a prepared statement.

Fisher began her collegiate career as a player at Eastern Wyoming College. A hip injury ended her playing career and she transferred to Arizona State and received her degree in 1988.

Fisher has coached in the collegiate ranks for 10 years. She will serve as co-recruiting coordinator along with assistant coach Jade Huntington.

``Cindy worked for several of the best coaches in the country and has Final Four experience as recently as last year,'' said Colorado State head coach Tom Collen.
