Cava Lee Johnson Sr., 56, of the 400 block of Lisa Square, died July 21, 1997.
He was born in Dillon County, S.C., and was the son of the late Hennie and Jim Johnson.
Survivors include his wife, Curley Mae Johnson; three sons, Calvin Lee Johnson Jr., Christopher Johnson and Anthony Geroad Johnson, all of Virginia Beach; two sisters, Eva Mae Scott and Susie Mae Johnson, both of Virginia Beach; six brothers, Luther Johnson, Carol Lee Johnson, Walter Johnson, Hayward Johnson and Robert Johnson, all of Virginia Beach, and D.C. Johnson of Philadelphia; eight grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday in New Jerusalem COGIC, Virginia Beach. Interment will be in Colonial Grove Memorial Park. The family will receive friends for visitation at P.G. Thomasson Funeral Service from 7 to 9 p.m. today. ILLUSTRATION: Photo KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
