LILLIE G. GREGORY

Lillie Gertrude Gregory of the 1400 block of Whittamore Road died July 25, 1997.

She was born in South Mills, N.C., and was the widow of James Gregory Sr. She was a member of United House of Prayer for All People, Hickory, Chesapeake, where she retired as church secretary and was past president of the senior female usher board after more than 50 years.

She is survived by six daughters, Beulah Sutton, Mable Overton, both of Chesapeake, Ruth Fincher of Hampton, Lillie Foreman of Virginia Beach, Gloria Mayes of Bowie, Md., Barbara G. Gregory of Washington, D.C.; four sons, James Gregory Jr. and Bobby Gregory, both of Chesapeake, Dennis Gregory of Virginia Beach, Kenneth Gregory of Brooklyn, N.Y.; a sister, Joe-May Eason of South Mills, N.C.; 23 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; and a host of other family members and friends.

A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in United House of Prayer for All People, 1433 Whittamore Road, Chesapeake, by Apostle R. Price. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Community Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, from 6 to 7 p.m. today. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
