Eileen P. O'Brien, nee McSweeney, 72, died July 25, 1997, in a local hospital.
Born in County Cork, Ireland, immigrated to New York and finally moving to Norfolk, she is the mother of Lt. Michael W. O'Brien, USN, and daughter of the late Michael and Margaret McSweeney. Also survivng are a brother, Michael P. McSweeney and three sisters, Gretta Doran, Carmel Conroy and Anna Cleary.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 3 p.m. Wednesday at the Church of the Holy Family, Virginia Beach, by Father Richard Mooney. Interment will be private. Kellum Funeral Home, Pleasant Hall Chapel, is in charge. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
