QUINTON D. LACY SR.

Quinton Dale Lacy Sr., 39, of the 1400 block of Anthony Drive, died July 5, 1997, in Germany.

A native of Bladenboro, N.C., he was a retired U.S. Army staff sergeant (E-6) with 20 years of service.

Survivors include his wife, Melinda Freeman Lacy of Chesapeake; daughter, Robin Michelle Lacy of Chesapeake; son, Quinton Dale Lacy Jr. of Chesapeake; mother, Shirley T. Turner of Chesapeake; stepfather, A.C. Pugh of Portsmouth; sister, Carol M. Pugh of Portsmouth; three brothers, Tony V. Pugh of Norfolk, Kenneth Pugh of Portsmouth and Marcus D. Smith of Richmond; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends. He was predeceased by a sister, Wanda D. Smith.

A funeral will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Monday in New Light Baptist Church, Chesapeake, by the Rev. Charles Green. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake, with military honors. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the church at 1 p.m. Monday for the funeral service. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Educational Fund of Robin M. and Quinton D. Lacy Jr. of Jefferson National Bank, Great Bridge Office, 601 Battlefield Blvd., Chesapeake. Linda Davis is the trustee. Corprew Funeral Home, Portsmouth, is in charge. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
