Richard Charles Garlow, 68, of the 3000 block of Elliott Ave., died Friday, July 25, 1997, in his residence. He was a native of Brockport, N.Y., and was a truck driver for 33 years and a Navy veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his mother, Florence Townsend DeFrank of Holley, N.Y.; two daughters, Cynthia Jeanne White of Newport News and Loree Mason Snowdon of Corapeake, N.C.; son, John Richard Garlow Sr. of Corapeake; a sister; nine brothers; 11 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
A graveside funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Eureka Baptist Church Cemetery by the Rev. T.M. Frye. The family will receive friends at Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
