THEADORE M. DEAN

Theadore Mark ``Ted'' Dean, retired Navy BM2, of the 4900 block of Olive Grove Lane, died Saturday, July 26, 1997, at his residence.

Born in West Virginia, Mr. Dean was a resident of Virginia Beach for 35 years. He was a member of the Fleet Reserve and was also retired from the Exxon Corporation.

He is survived by his wife, Rebecca Lou Dean; a son, James Dean of Virginia Beach; three daughters, Vickie Hall of Jacksonville, Fla., Cindy Starbird of Virginia Beach and Connie Cole of Chesapeake; and three grandchildren. Also surviving are a sister, Nancy Smith; a half brother, Leroy Simms; and a half sister, Inez Fisher, all of West Virginia.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today in Kellum Funeral Home, Rosewood Chapel, where a funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday with the Rev. Don Williams officiating. Interment will be in Rosewood Memorial Park. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
