Mary R. Washington of the Autumn Care Nursing Home died July 26, 1997, in Chesapeake General Hospital.
A native of Allen Dale, S.C., she was the widow of Jesse Washington and a member of Mount Gilead Baptist Church, Norfolk, pastor's aide, senior citizen and emergency club.
Survivors include a son, David Roulhac of Norfolk; grandchild, David Carnell Swindell of Norfolk; devoted friends, Mr. and Mrs. Eric Powell and family, Ms. Loretta Morton and Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Cox and Naomi Hyman.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Mount Gilead Baptist Church, Norfolk. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake. E.A. Hughes Funeral Home is in charge. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
