WILLIAM R. SPIEGLE

William R. Spiegle, 72, passed away July 27, 1997, in a local hospital.

Mr. Spiegle was born in Philadelphia and was the husband of the late Marsha Spiegle. He has been a resident of Norfolk for the past 22 years. Mr. Spiegle was retired from the BBB and was a patron and volunteer at the Virginia Opera Society.

Survivors include two sisters, Maryemma S. Brown of Norfolk, Louise S. Evans of Montrose, Pa.; a brother, Raymond J. Spiegle Sr. of Mira Loma, Calif.; a niece, Liz Peters of Norfolk; a nephew, Jay Peters of Chesapeake; a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and caring friends. He is also survived by two lifelong friends, Sigmund Von-Koeckritz of Philadelphia and Joe Keiler of Norfolk.

Services will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made in honor of his great-niece, Kathleen Tomlinson, to St. Pius X School, Norfolk.
