Lists of property crimes and robberies in the city are provided to The Clipper by Chesapeake Police. They include the address at which the crime occurred, the missing items and the approximate date. For robberies, a description of suspects also is provided.
BUTTS ROAD BOROUGH
(The rural southeast section)
Robbery, 2200 block of Long Ridge Road. Victim was driving a vehicle (not his own) and pulled into the driveway of his residence. A late model burgundy Mustang pulled in behind the victim. Two suspects exited the Mustang. Suspect one holding a shotgun approached the rear of victim vehicle and remained there. Two other suspects then approached the victim's vehicle one on each side displaying 9mm handguns. The two suspects with the handguns then displayed badges of state police, ordering everyone on the ground. The suspects then took unknown amount of money, a beeper, drivers license and a 9mm Keltec handgun. Description of suspects: two white males and a black male. July 12.

Grand larceny, 1300 block of Deep Creek Blvd. Missing: JVC amplifier, terminator speaker and Pioneer stereo. July 8-9.
Grand larceny, 400 block of Plummer Drive. Missing: 1992 Dodge Dynasty, dark blue, Virginia license plates No. NZ-7057. July 8-9.
Residential burglary, 300 block of N. George Washington Highway. Missing: black handbag and wallet. July 9.
Commercial burglary, 100 block of N. Dominion Blvd., Concrete Placement Systems. Missing: cashbox. July 10.
Strong-armed robbery, 1200 block of Fleet Way Drive. Victim pulled into the lot of his place of employment. Victim then noticed a vehicle pull in behind him, recognizing the driver of suspect vehicles as a person he had had contact with in the past. The suspect approached the victim and demanded money for previous repairs. Victim advised the suspect that the payment had already been made. Suspect then reached into victim's pocket removing victim's paycheck and keys and assaulting him in the process. Description of suspect: black male. July 12.

Petty larceny, 2300 block of Halyard Lane. Missing: compact disc case and assorted CDs, Zippo lighter, a pair of Rayban sunglasses and two packs of cigarettes. July ll-12.
Grand larceny, 3400 block of Parr Lane. Missing: Toshiba 12-votl VCR, mounted cellular telephone, CB radio and CB antenna. July 11-12.
Grand larceny, 3000 block of S. Military Highway. Missing: 7-10 credit cards, check book from Bank of Hampton Roads, Virginia's drivers license and $150 in cash. July 13.
Grand larceny, 3000 block of Barn Way. Missing: Virginia license plates No. FSF-383 and four hubcaps. July 12-13.
Grand larceny, 1200 block of Canal drive. Missing: 1985 Oldsmobile Cutlass Sierra, blue, Virginia tag No. AIV-161. July 8.

Residential burglary, 800 block of Lakeside Court. Missing: Trek 26 inch woman's mountain bike, serial number TOK21005. July 16.
Residential burglary, 100 block of Hodges Road. Missing: Polaris ATV four-wheel, 2929945, electric powered winch, Midlen citizen band radio and CB radio antenna. July 12-13.
Grand larceny, 700 block of Norman Way. Missing: JL audio speakers and two Phoenix gold amplifiers. July 12.
SOUTH NORFOLK BOROUGH
(The old city of South Norfolk)
Robbery, 900 block of Liberty St., Nations Bank parking lot. The victim was at the bank attempting to place money in the Drop Box when he felt a possible handgun on the back of his head. The suspect demanded his money and made him get on the ground. No description of the suspect. July 9.
Strong-armed robbery, 2700 block of Broad St. Victim was home trying to lock her bicycle when a male approached, pushed her to the ground and rode off with her bicycle toward Carver Intermediate School. The suspect was chased and he left the bicycle under a portable classroom. The bicycle was returned to the victim. Description of suspect: black male, 18-20 years old, 6-foot, slim and wearing a black cap, white shirt and black shorts. July 10.
Residential burglary, 2500 block of Applewood Lane. Missing: Rolex watch, wallet, Tommy Hilfiger shirts, jacket and cordless telephone. July 10.
Residential burglary, 1000 block of Decatur St. Missing: Panasonic videocassette recorder, Magnavox CD player and Audiovox cellular phone. July 9-10.
Petty larceny, 2600 block of Applewood Lane. Missing: purse from the front seat of vehicle. July 10.
Strong-armed robbery, 2200 block of Border Road. After dropping some friends off, suspect approached victim and engaged in a conversation with victim. After a brief period, the suspect then grabbed the victim's chain from his neck and fled on foot. Description of suspect: black male, 17, 6-foot-4, 180 pounds and wearing a striped polo shirt, blue jeans and white tennis shoes. July 12.
Residential burglary, 1400 block of Berkley Ave. Missing four rooms of carpet. July 9.
Commercial burglary, 1300 block of Poindexter St. Missing: three walkman compact disc player, flashlight, three credit cards and semi-automatic handgun.
Petty larceny, 4500 block of Bainbridge Blvd. Missing: concrete chisel. July 11.
Grand larceny, 1200 block of Liberty St. Missing: 1985 Buick Regal, silver, Virginia tag No. MQD-466. July 11.

Commercial burglary, 600 block of Providence Road, Lou Vincent Baseball Field. Missing: eight cases of sodas, a case of bottle water, a case of assorted chips, several pieces of bubble gum, 24 candy bars, peanuts and assorted candies. July 7.
Commercial burglary, 600 block of Kingsborough Square, Republic Construction. Missing: desk top copier, surveyor level and tripod. July 7.
Grand larceny, 4100 block of Indian River Road, Virginia Auto Recovery. Missing: Citizen Band radio, power booster and antenna. July 9.
Residential burglary, 1400 block of Woodside Court. Missing: Nothing at the time of report. July 10.
Strong-armed robbery, 1000 block of Keaton Court. Victim was getting into the driver's seat of her vehicle when she was approached by a suspect on a bicycle. The suspect demanded victim's purse, then forcibly reached into victim's vehicle and took purse containing $110 in cash, credit cards and driver's license. Description of suspect unknown. July 12.
