LAST TIME THEY played these parts, which - for the record - was in February, Counting Crows sold out Chrysler Hall in 20 minutes. How many fans will turn out Saturday at the GTE Virginia Beach Amphitheater? Only one way to find out. Be there at 7 p.m. and see - especially since the Wallflowers, the chart-riding roots/rockers fronted by Jakob Dylan, share the bill. That Dog opens the evening. $18.25 to $35.25 plus parking and service charges; order at 671-8100.

WITH SILKY-SMOOTH Ronald hitting those high notes, the Isley Brothers are more than capable of heating up a house. With Ernie blasting away on the guitar, they're also capable of tearing a house down. That's just what they did at the 1996 Hampton Jazz Festival. Expect similar fireworks Monday night at Norfolk's Chrysler Hall. The show starts at 8; no word on the opening act. Tickets: $25 plus service charge; order at 671-8100.
