Mary Eva Herring, 90, passed away July 30, 1997, at Lake Taylor Hospital. Mrs. Herring was born June 23, 1907, in Mississippi. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert B. Herring Sr. She was a retired bookkeeper.
Surviving are a son, Robert B. Herring Jr. of Tulsa, Okla.; two sisters-in-law, Edith Godwin of Raleigh and Helen Latham of Mobile, Ala.
A memorial service will be at 7 p.m. Saturday in Altmeyer Funeral Home with the Rev. Warren Chapman officiating. In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2730 Ellsmere Ave., Norfolk, Va. 23513. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
