ALIDA K. DANIEL

Alida Carroll Kirby Daniel, 85, of the 1800 block of Templeton Lane, died Aug. 2, 1997, in a local nursing home.

Mrs. Daniel was a native of Norfolk and the daughter of William M. Kirby and Harriett Mann Kirby.

Survivors include her husband, Louis A. Daniel Sr.; four sons, Louis A. Daniel Jr., James B. Daniel and his wife, Elizabeth Eskins Daniel, Francis L. Daniel and his wife, Susan Bechelli Daniel, John W. Daniel and his wife, Keith Frazier Daniel. Mrs. Daniel is also survived by five grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Monday in Sacred Heart Catholic Church by Fr. John J. Dorgan. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Norfolk. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 3 to 5 p.m. today. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of choice. H.D.
