CHARLENE ROGERS

Charlene Rogers, 38, of the 6800 block of Kenny Lane, died July 31, 1997, in Maryview Medical Center.

She was born in Southampton County, Va., and was a member of St. Mark Church of Deliverance and the Crusade Choir.

Survivors include her mother, Frances Boykins; her father, William Boykins Sr.; a sister, Swedessa Boykins; a half sister, Hilda Nazareth; a brother, William J. Boykins Jr.; a grandmother, Clora B. Judge; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A funeral will be conducted at noon Wednesday in St. Mark Church of Deliverance, Portsmouth, by Pastor Marian Jones. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. Viewing will be from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday. Family and friends will assemble at 2829 Breeze Ave., Chesapeake, at 11:15 a.m. for the processional to the church. A wake service will be from 8 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Serenity Funeral Home. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
