Alyeane Arrie Hall ``Peggy'' Born, 75, of the 8100 block of Foxdale Drive, died Aug. 1, 1997, in her residence.

She was born in Cherokee County, Murphy, N.C., and was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Oscar F. Born. She was a retired bookkeeper from Smith Incorporated and A & P Tea Co. She was a charter member of Oakdale Farms Presbyterian Church and member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Disabled American Veterans Chapter (NU)4.

Survivors include a son, George F. Born and his wife, Nellie of Norfolk; six grandchildren, Kim Dooley and Christina Ward, both of Virginia Beach, Eva Born of Berlin, Germany, April Born and Adam Born, both of Stanardsville, Va., and Becky Born of Norfolk; three great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

A graveside service will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, is in charge. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
